For a while we did what everyone does at the start: move constantly, tick places off, never stop. It looked like freedom. It felt like a job we had not applied for.
The switch
So we stopped. We started staying. Six weeks somewhere with good internet and a swim, a snorkel or a ride within reach beats ten places in a week every time.
Not cheaper, better
This was never about spending as little as possible. It was about spending our days well. The beach is 300 metres away because that is where we decided to park.
